While the age of marriage is generally on the rise, in many countries, especially among poor, migrant or displaced communities, early marriage – marriage of children and adolescents below the age of eighteen – is still widely practiced. Tremendous number of couples enters marriage without any chance of exercising their right to choose. Some are forced into marriage, others are simply too young to make an informed decision about their partner or about the implications of marriage itself. Studies have shown that teenage married couples are often less advantageous, may come from broken homes, may have little education and work, low status jobs in comparison to those that marry after adolescence. It could be very encouraging if our community…show more content…

They are forced to give up education and the lifestyle they have been used to. As soon as they realize the ramifications of their carelessness and thoughtlessness nobody has the power to return them wasted years. Early marriage sometimes leads to early pregnancies, which don’t have positive consequences. Schools often have a policy of refusing to allow married or pregnant girls or girls with babies to return. They may believe that it will set a bad example to other pupils or that other parents will be angry to see the school go against the traditional beliefs. Even if they do permit girls to return, the school environment - rules, timetables, and physical conditions - can make it too difficult for a girl to attend school and perform her duties as a wife and a mother at the same time. I myself can’t imagine “a baby having a baby”. When a person financially and morally is not ready to carry such a responsibility, how can we expect a young couple to raise a child in a healthy and strong environment? Also, we mustn’t avoid the fact that an early pregnancy has its own very negative consequences on girl’s health and moral stability and may lead to a decision of abortion. Abortion, in its own term, can end up in infertility. This is the price you may pay once you got married without long term decision

Almost every teenager wants a job, yet many people are against it. I believe teenagers should have after-school jobs for a number of reasons. First, having a son or a daughter that works can financially help the parents. Also, the experience the teenager will acquire from after-school jobs will help him or her on future jobs. Finally, teenagers should have after-school jobs because it will keep them away from trouble. Parents should realize that as long as their son or daughter wants an after-school job and it does not affect his or her performance at school, they should let their child have one.

By having a job a teenager can save up for college, to buy a car, to buy a stereo, etc. Teenagers feel 'free' when they have a job: they can spend their own money on whatever they want without feeling guilty. In addition to helping his family, having a job at an early age can help for future jobs.
When many people apply for an important job, the employer will most likely choose the person who has the most working experience. People who have had a job since their teenage years will know how to deal with the stress and the work better than new people. They will be able to cope with job-related problems. This reason is very significant for teenagers who choose not to go to college, and their only reason for getting employed is experience. Yet, the most important reason is that jobs keep teenagers away from violence.
Jobs are very time-consuming. If a teenager works and goes to school, he will probably not have time to join a gang or get into fights. Nowadays more and more employees are getting drug-tested at their jobs. If a teenager likes his job or needs to work, he will not do drugs because he will get fired. Furthermore, if a teenager receives a paycheck he will spend his earned money instead of stealing. A job can lead a teenager to a better lifestyle and a healthier life.
I think teenagers should have after-school jobs.
